Welcome to the new and improved Shadowridge Press!
After our brief hiatus, we have returned with a new look and a new direction. We are pleased to be back with some new and some newly re-issued books, and we are excited to introduce two new genre imprints, Shadowridge Horror and Shadowridge Crime Line. These will showcase their respective genres, while our non-fiction and mainstream fiction titles will appear under our nifty new Shadowridge Press logo—the candle illuminating the dark.
Leading our relaunch is Mike Lester’s neo-noir favorite AN OCCASIONAL DREAM, as well as his NEW dark fantasy short story collection THE LOW COUNTRY, whose title is a tip-of-the-hat to both Ray Bradbury and to Mike’s good friend, the late, great Dennis Etchison. Mike’s work mines a similar vein of understated horror as Dennis’s short stories, and we are proud to bring his work to print.
Also in the mix are new editions of the novels and short story collections of famed screenwriter Peter Atkins (HELLRAISER II, III and IV and WISHMASTER) and, for the first time in paperback, his long out-of-print novel MOONTOWN. Pete is a genre favorite and a cohort in all things Shadowridge going back many years, and we are honored by his long association with Shadowridge Press.
Tracy L. Carbone’s versatility is remarkable. Initially writing primarily in the horror genre, Tracy’s work has expanded into fantasy, mystery, and thriller fiction in both novels and short stories. She has also written non-fiction, including FINDING ZEN IN REBOUND DOGS, a touching biographical collection of her “Carly G” blogs about navigating the life of a forty-something single mom who finds love again.
Her passion for metaphysics shines through in her charmingly self-illustrated books I AM WATER and GOODBYE, GRANDMA ANNA, all available from Shadowridge Press.
